Cooper wins Schweppes Peregian Springs Pro Am
Brisbane Golf professional Allan Cooper shot a creditable 4 under 68 to win Schweppes Peregian Springs Pro Am on Wednesday and take out the second day of the four day Sunshine Coast Masters, amidst a packed field of 74 professional and 130 amateur golfers.
Cooper beat Peter Senior, reigning Australian Masters Champion and winner of the first day Sunshine Coast Masters, former British Open winner Ian Baker Finch, Ossie Moore, Mike Harwood and many other luminaries of the sport. The local men's amateur division was won by Stuart Blyth with 42 points and Mary Walker won the ladies division with 43 points.
