COOL DOWN: Toowoomba set for cold start to April
PACK an extra coat in the mornings, Toowoomba looks set for some classic cold weather next week in the lead-up to winter.
After a hotter-than-usual summer the Garden City's naturally cooler climate returned this morning, with mercury dropping to just 12.2°C at 6am.
Bureau of Meteorology's Nicholas Shera said residents should prepare for the cold weather to stick around, with minimum temperatures as low as 13°C next week.
"We have a large high-pressure system over the Great Australian Bight," he said.
