RUN by Bluecare and is a free service to the Gold Coast Community. It's an 8 week program that is now available in Coomera, Arundel and Elanora. The program provides information, emotional and social support to help develop skills with the grieving process. The groups are small and are provided in a secure confidential environment. IT'S OUR 4th Birthday this month and we will be celebrating. The club has brought 4 years of entertainment to a vast range of audiences and given entertainers both professional and novices a chance to perform on stage with a brilliant backing band "Sandfire". LOOKING for something to do on a Sunday now that the hot summer weather has eased? Why not take the opportunity to visit your local Museum, situated at 8 Elliott Street, Surfers Paradise, open every Sunday from 10am-3pm and its beautiful grounds and many buildings contain items depicting the early history of the Gold Coast from the cable station equipment, a wonderful collection of photographs, farm equipment, Aboriginal artefacts and memorabilia from yesteryear to name a few. THE FLORAL Art Society of Queensland would like to congratulate members Margaret Ferris and Daphne Muhling on their recent awards received at the Queensland Council of Garden Clubs awards presentation. Margaret won the award for "Most Contribution to the Community", and Daphne received a Certified of Recognition for the "Most Contribution to the Club". Congratulations to these two very deserving winners. The next meeting of the Floral Art Society of Queensland will be Monday, March 27 at 9.30am at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Mt Coot-tha Auditorium, Mt Coot-tha. Meetings include a Floral Design demonstration or workshop as well as bench work displays of Floral Art designs exhibited by members. and new members are welcome. FRIDAY, February 24 was a special occasion in the form of celebrating the Helensvale Probus Club's 24th Birthday. The luncheon was well supported and a huge success, with members showing their culinary skills in abundance, Foundation member Florence Drury read the Probus Prayer, plus along with President Brian Rankin later cutting the birthday cake. The March meeting will be the Election of the Incoming Committee for the forthcoming year/s. The February Newsletter, had many interesting activities and outings on the agenda for the coming weeks and months, plus our continuing interests, eg. mahjong, walking group, the theatre which is always popular and our sewer and knitter's group.
