WE ARE located on the highway in Surfers Paradise. Brush up your skills or we can teach you new ones with our experienced teachers. We provide beginners classes and coaching at all levels and conduct bridge sessions six days a week and two nights. We're known as "the friendly club" and organise many social functions for members. Twin Towns

ENROLMENT days for 2018 will be January 23 and 24. The office at Boyd Street will be open between 9am-12.30pm on those days. Many tutors will be present to answer queries about their classes. AUSTRALIA Fair office is now closed for the Christmas break and re-opens on Monday, January 15. The resumption of classes will be the week beginning Monday, January 29. These dates are earlier because of the effect the Commonwealth Games will have on traffic and parking, so as an incentive there is an 'early registration draw' and the chance to win a refund of the $75 membership. The draw will take place in U3A Australia Fair office at 2pm on Thursday, January 18. We are looking for tutors to teach computers, phones, tablets, art, current affairs forum, armchair travel and an experienced 'tutor co-ordinator' used to working in team environment. THE Tweed Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who supported its many fund-raising activities during 2017. All the funds raised go towards purchasing necessary equipment for the Tweed Hospital. The Auxiliary wishes all the members who have worked so hard during the year and all the supporters, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The Sunday Bingo will continue every Sunday at 1pm at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club over the Christmas break. We look forward to your support in 2018.

Runaway Bay

WE ARE a non-profit club operating to promote fun, friendship and fellowship in our community. If you are interested in making new friends and joining us to enjoy guest speakers, lunches and outings, the club will be holding its next meeting on Monday, January 15 at the Paradise Point Bowls Club (cnr Thrush & Sunbird Avenues). Burleigh Waters

GENERAL meetings are held on the third Monday of each month. For our November outing we had a Sausage Sizzle Picnic in Burleigh Park, and at our meeting Mel Bromley informed us about Assistance Dogs, with a demonstration by 'Oska'. A group from our club had a great trip to Yeppoon and Rockhampton area, and saw some of the local places of interest, including Rockhampton Botanic Gardens and Zoo and the Heritage Village. Retired or semi-retired men are invited to join us at club meetings, 10am on the third Monday of each month at Burleigh Waters Community Centre, 131 Christine Ave, Burleigh Waters.
