Community art project to bring colour to Maryborough CBD

FRASER Coast residents are invited to be a part of an exciting community art project which will see their artwork on display in the Maryborough CBD.

On Saturday April 16, a free all-day workshop will be held where participants are assisted by talented local artists to tell their story through the art of mosaic.

The mosaic tiles will then be embedded into the CBD footpath and create a ribbon of colour in the city centre.

Local artist Karen Roberts said that all skills levels were welcome to participate.

"The Maryborough Story Trail tells both the stories of the past and the stories that are unfolding in our community right now.

"I encourage people to come along to learn a new skill and be part of the greater story."

The workshop will be held from 9am to 2pm at Gatakers Artspace.
