Come and join in the Grafton Senior Citizens Open Day

LOCAL seniors clubs in the Clarence Valley are this year hosting some wonderful social events.

There's never been a better time to get out meet some new people, join a club, start a new hobby or reconnect with an old one.

Wednesday, March 8, is a busy one with the Grafton Senior Citizens Open Day at the Grafton Community Centre, Duke St, Grafton. Doors open 9am.

There will be carpet bowls from 9am -11am, and crafty members will be there creating and displaying their beautiful work.

Committee members will be in attendance to provide lots of information on all the activities available, including housie, hoi, craft, mah-jong, euchre, bus trips and special functions.

Lots of local services and businesses will there to providing useful information. The Australian Hearing Bus will parked out the front offering free hearing tests.

All seniors are welcome and encouraged to come grab a membership form and a cuppa. Runs until 3pm, with free entry.

Over at the Maclean Bowling Club the Maclean Seniors Club are hosting an afternoon tea starting at 1.30pm. Come and enjoy a sandwich, a scone and a cuppa.

Listen to the fabulous Doug Charlton serenade the room. There will be raffles and lucky door prizes and again, all are welcome and encouraged to attend. $3 entry.
