Coast art students unite work in colourful exhibition

ANNE Ham runs an art school in Point Vernon called ArtAbility Studio.

Over the past 18 months, her students have been putting together pieces for an exhibition called Be Bold, Be Brave, Believe!

It is now on show at Hervey Bay Art Gallery and will be there until March 19.

"More than 60 students are exhibiting individual pieces," Ms Ham said.

"We have been looking at different themes over the last year and a half," she said.

"One of our themes was Gustav Klimt; he's an Austrian artist who does a lot with gold and patterning.

"We've also looked at time and ocean, with a lot of the work on display resembling those themes."

A range of media including oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels were used to make the pieces by artists of all ages.
