TWO Sunshine Coast holiday accommodation providers have made it into Australia's top 12 of an internet booking agency.

Both achieved a "perfect score" on Booking.com from their paying guests for having everything it takes for a top rating.

And the high achievers were: Montagues of Montville and Phoenix Eumundi Bed and Breakfast.

Booking.com honoured the achievers in the 2016 Guest Review Award.

It appears hotels are out and apartments and holiday homes are in as they topped the list earning the highly-coveted perfect 10 review.

"This is not surprising as according to recent research from Booking.com, 70% of people say they have the best time while travelling when they can make themselves at home, with 59% sharing that they like to feel a personal connection with their host or the staff at the accommodation," a Booking spokeswoman said.

"In Australia, 7475 properties, from all types, received the award, with an overall average score of 8.7 in guest reviews.

"A total of 12 properties achieved a perfect 10 score, demonstrating their dedication to offering an unforgettable stay."

Booking.com has more than 110 million guest reviews on its platform which is aimed at helping guide travellers to find their "perfect stay".
