The Airlie Beach main street will undergo a clean up operation starting from Monday.
Mayor Jenny Whitney said that council has engaged a contractor to undertake water blasting of the main street, which will take place nightly to minimise disruptions to local businesses.
"The water blasting is scheduled to commence from Monday, June 22 and we aim to complete the work by the end of the week prior to the commencement of school holidays," she said.
"The works will begin each night at midnight through to approximately 7.30am.
"I would like to thank the businesses in Airlie Beach for their patience as we undertake these works to ensure our main street is well maintained."
