YOUR STORY: Excitement is building for the upcoming 2015 Science Week at Centenary Heights State High School (CHSHS).

Centenary Heights has had a long involvement in Science Week starting in 2006 and has continued every year since.

This science filled week focuses on Years 6 to 11 but is also open to the community.

It was designed to motivate the public and students to get involved in educational scientific activities and experiments, to learn how and why things happen.

Centenary Heights science teacher Mrs Melissa Schmöcker states that, "Science Week is celebrating science in a way that everyone will learn something that they didn't know before."

Centenary has an exceptional science fair where all students and staff members have the privilege of seeing science in action.

Countless students get involved creating science experiments in a fun and educational way.

Students have to research and create experiments and explain the science behind the situation.

Previous amateur scientists have displayed and explained things such as volcanoes, van-de-graaff generators, green screens, several examples of robotics, and much, much more!

If you want to discover the mysteries of science first hand, join us on Thursday August 20 at Centenary Heights State High School at the hall on 60 Ramsay Street.
