LESS than a month after Karl Stefanovic announced his engagement to Jasmine Yarbrough, his ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn has been rumoured to be looking at real estate in Sydney's inner west.
Speculation is rife she may be downsizing from her $8m north shore mansion, after she was spotted leaving a large corner block in Annadale which has a For Sale board at the front.
The historic home has most recently been operating as a medical consultancy clinic, but the advertisement suggests it would make a lovely five-bedroom home.
Set to go to auction later this month, Ms Thorburn would only need $2.6 million if it sells at close to the price guide.
Stefanovic last year moved to a Mosman rental - about 10 minutes from Ms Thorburn - and Ms Yarbrough have been flaunting their love on Instagram.
But it seems things haven't been amazing for Thorburn in her Cremorne mansion.
Some reports suggest excessive neighbouring construction might be pushing her towards the idea of a move, or perhaps she's inspired by the idea of some spare cash - a neighbouring listing has hopes of $20m.
Or maybe, the announcement by Ms Yarbrough and Stefanovic, has prompted her to consider a move to the inner west. Stefanovic and his new fiancee met on a swish boat cruise in December 2016, following Stefanovic's split with Thorburn.
The pair had been married 21 years and have three children together - Jackson, River and Ava.
Thorburn has been outspoken about having moved on from Stefanovic.
"This is my second chance to have the life I truly deserve," the 46-year-old told Woman's Day earlier this year.
"I've really turned a corner - I often look back and am comforted at just how far I've come. I'm unstoppable and I've never felt more empowered."
The former journalist told the publication she's optimistic about the coming year.
"There's a light always at the end of some pretty dark tunnels - trust me, there really is," she said.
