Arts, crafts, food and live Music at Buderim Easter Fair
ALL the fun of the fair can be found at Buderim's 49th Easter Fair. So follow the Easter signs along the Main Street to experience Buderim's Arts Precinct and all of the Fair's unique Arts, Crafts, Books, Makers Market, Devonshire Teas and Live Music.
Buderim's Annual Easter Fair is always full of fun.
Serious art and book lovers will be on the hunt for both great value original art and artisan craft work and thousands of pre-read book bargains.
Hosted by the Buderim Craft Cottage, the Buderim Library and the Buderim Lions, the Buderim Easter Fair is also well supported by many local community groups and private traders.
Unique contemporary art will delight home decorators, along with sculpture, finely crafted ceramics and pottery, beautiful quilted items and accessories for the table.
Locally designed jewelry in silver and semi-precious stones, accessories fashioned from silk, beads and felt, creatively knitted fashion, and gorgeous cards will delight everyone.
Since 1967 the vibrant Buderim Easter Fair has grown to become one of the Sunshine Coast's best-loved events.
''Visitors enjoy the friendly Buderim community atmosphere of the annual Easter Fair,'' Buderim Craft Cottage President, Jan Nelson explained. "It's grown bigger and stronger every year, to cater for all ages and tastes.
''Everyone is welcome. The Buderim Easter Fair is always a great day out to bring your family and friends. Dog lovers are encouraged to bring their furry friends for a walk on the lawn," Jan says.
Buderim's Easter Fair is not all about art, craft and books. Plants, locally made fashion, gourmet goodies and gifts for those furry friends will also be for sale.
Great home-style food will be available throughout the day. The Buderim Craft Cottage kitchen will offer a range of refreshments. The Buderim Lionesses will host their popular all-day Devonshire Tea from the wide verandah of the Buderim War Memorial Hall.
''It's a celebratory time, when Buderim's community groups share their passions and showcase the benefits of community organisations and volunteering."
"Funds raised on the day go towards supporting the not-for profit groups that sustain our diverse Buderim community." Jan added, "It's true blue community spirit in action."
Live music in the gardens by talented local folksinger Miss Sam Hays will delight and amaze. Sam's acoustic guitar and harmonica provide the notes for her original songs and her popular busking songs.
