Bring it on: One Nation still looking for early election
ONE Nation's state leader Steve Dickson has committed to stand re-contest the seat of Buderim, despite the seat being changed in the redistribution.
"I'm very much looking forward to running in the seat of Buderim," said Mr Dickson, who was elected for the LNP before defecting to One Nation last month.
Despite Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk committing to going to an election with the new boundaries in place, Mr Dickson said One Nation was preparing for an early poll.
"We will be prepared for an election to be called with 89 seats, regardless of what the Premier has supposed to have put out," he said.
"We will play on whatever field is put in front of us.
"I still believe the Premier will probably go early because there are many people very disappointed, on both sides of politics, with this redistribution and they're very fearful they may lose their seats."
