Pedestrian, 75, killed by car at Warwick intersection

UPDATE: A man has died after being struck by a car in Warwick on Sunday night.

Police believe the man, 75, was crossing the road at the intersection of Wood And Wantley Streets at 7.30pm when he was hit by a passing four wheel drive.

The driver of the car immediately pulled over, and remained at the scene while emergency crews arrived.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man on the side of the road, however were unsuccessful.

Four ambulances, fire crews and police all attended the scene.

The identity of the victim is yet to be released.

EARLIER: A PEDESTRIAN is reportedly seriously injured after being hit by a car in Warwick this evening.

Initial reports suggest a four wheel drive collided with the pedestrian as they were crossing the intersection of Wood and Wantley Sts

Four ambulances, two fire crews and police are on scene, with one lane of the highway currently closed.

Screens have been erected around the patient while they are treated on the side of the road.
