THE art of crocheting and hand sewing has not been buried in past history - just take a look at this outfit!

You may not have heard of Icelandic performer Bjork, but I'm sure you have heard of Gucci.

Gucci designer Alessandro Michele put an incredible 550 hours of work - not including the initial 320 hours spending embroidering the little pearls and jewels all over the fabric - into making an extraordinary ethereal floating frock for her latest performance 'The Gate.'

Fashioned on the pastel shades of a pale Icelandic sunrise, we are told, it is all made from real materials: pleated iridescent PVC, PVC strips, and Lurex organza.

By the way, Bjork wears a matching silky mask in this new video from the upcoming album, Utopia.
