Bingo more than just a game
FRIENDSHIP and a chance to socialise trump winning for Grafton District Services Club Wednesday bingo players.
Regular bingo blotter Wendy Hennessey has been playing bingo for the last 20 years.
"It keeps your brain active and I've got friends who come," she said.
"I've just become a widow so it makes it good."

But Wednesday bingo isn't the only thing on Mrs Hennessey's social calendar.
"Monday's bingo, Tuesday's cards, Wednesday's bingo, and tomorrow night I'll be down here for the Cash Bingo," she said.
"I think its good for people when you've got nobody at home, the social aspect of it is terrific, because the people that come here, they're in the same boat as you are."
Bobbie Newman, who calls the bingo at the GDSC, said they had just started running the Cash Bingo on Thursday nights.
"We're supporting CRANES community support programs," she said.
"There is a committee in Grafton trying to get a headspace as much, a youth suicide prevention group, we work in conjunction with them, they're our charity of choice.
"We've had a very good response, a lot of different people, different walks of the community all to get involved."
