Be a welcome guest at a traditional Indian wedding

BECOME a guest at a traditional Indian wedding this November when Wendy Wu Tours takes a intimate tour group to one of the pinnacle experiences of cultural India.

The special tour includes all the highlights, sights and sounds of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with the added exclusive opportunity to take part in a real-life Indian wedding.

The tour starts in Delhi where you will stay for two nights to experience its chaos and charm. Explore the colossal Red Fort and India's largest mosque Jama Masjid before heading on a delicious food tour.

Next is Agra and the magnificent Taj Mahal before moving to Jaipur.

On arrival in Jaipur travellers will participate in the Sangeet. It's the pre-wedding celebration, usually on the night or day before the wedding and where the entire wedding party comes together for an event full of song and dance. It's often in pre-choreographed moves set to traditional tunes, and usually followed by a night of thumping Bollywood numbers.

Spend the following day exploring the Pink City before adorning yourself in traditional clothing in readiness to enjoy a celebration unlike any other where you will become fully immersed in the many ceremonies of a traditional Indian wedding.

To recover from the excitement of the many celebrations, you will travel out of the city to the majestic Amber Fort. The red sandstone and marble fort was built in 1592. You will ride up to the fort in a jeep and walk through its royal halls decorated with intricate ivory, mirror and glass work, and exquisite wall paintings. Finally, the evening will be spent at Samode Bagh, a luxury tented resort, for some well-earned relaxation time.

The tour finishes in Dehli.

"At Wendy Wu Tours we're always looking at ways to bring the ultimate in local culture to our guest's experience, and this is the quintessential Indian celebration", marketing and product lead Carlah Walton said.

The nine-day tour departs capital cities on November 5th, 2019 and is limited to just 28 people.

The tour cost $10,760 includes international flights and taxes, domestic transport, all accommodation and meals, sightseeing and entrance fees, an English-speaking national escort, and visa fees for Australian passport holders.
