AND they're off and flopping!
A US racetrack was overtaken by a horde of floppy ears and waggily tails at the inaugural basset hound races at Canterbury Park in Minnesota.
In footage of the event, the cute pooches were set loose at the starting gates by one owner and coaxed to the finish line by another.
However, these races weren't all about straight-line speed with a little zig-zagging and play time in the middle of the track a regular occurrence.
The winning dogs will line-up at the Bark in the Park Championship Races on Labor Day, September 3 (US time).
