Banana spring rolls: Asian twist to delicious desert
BANANA SPRING ROLLS
Ingredients
Packet of spring roll wrappers
4 x bananas
Cinnamon sugar
Water
Chocolate (optional)
Oil for frying
Method
- Cut bananas length ways then cut in half.
- Place spring roll wrapper on chopping board. Place banana down the bottom of wrapper and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top. Roll, tuck in sides, then wet the end of the wrapper and seal the roll. Chocolate option - add chunks of chocolate (your preference) after sprinkling cinnamon sugar and before wrapping roll.
- Heat oil to 180c. Cook the banana spring rolls until golden brown. Don't crowd the pan!
- Serve with caramel sauce and a scoop of ice-cream or cream.
