Here's five things you might want to check out down at Maroochydore, Alexandra Headland or Mooloolaba today.
1. Beach races
Who will be the last man or woman standing at Mooloolaba when the flag races start at 1pm.
It's the perfect place for spectators to get an up-close glimpse of the action, with grandstand seating lining the front of Mooloolaba Surf Club.
The open ironwomen will battle out the quarterfinal ahead of Sunday's much-anticipated final at Maroochydore.
Can the Coast's Jordan Mercer continue her dream year? Or will former Coaster Maddy Dunn make a triumphant return to the Coast?
The open Ironman quarterfinals will also be held at Maroochydore today, followed by the heats of the under-17 ironman get started early this morning.
Will we see the next Grant Kenny, Trevor Hendy or Shannon Eckstein make their triumphant debut?
4. Ski races
These events have provided some of the best entertainment and closest finishes of the week so far.
Today there is a number of heats, quarter and semi-finals throughout the day at Maroochydore.
5. Belt races
Belt racing commences at 12.15pm at Maroochydore and will run from heats to finals in one afternoon.
One for the traditionalists, the belt is one of the more prestigious titles up for grabs during the week at The Aussies.
