Asbestos Disease Support Group meeting at hospital

THE Asbestos Disease Support Group meets on the third Friday of each month at the UNARA Conference Rooms at Toowoomba Base Hospital. The next meeting will be on Friday, July 17July from 10am until noon.

Morning tea is provided.

At the June meeting, the presentation by clinical nurse Jo Hiscock of the Palliative Care Outreach Program made everyone aware of the high degree of care taken by palliative care staff.

Palliative care is also an important part of the recovery program of patients of life saving surgery or critical injury as a result of an accident.

David Abrahams, volunteer for the Palliative Care Queensland State Council, also gave a very informative presentation.
