WHILE you don't really need a reason to celebrate women, it's still fun do so.

The Lismore Women's Festival is just around the corner and it will celebrate all things feminine.

Here's a program to help you choose from the fun and fabulous, insightful and inspiring activities as part of the very first Lismore Women's Festival on March 4-12.

Saturday, March 4

Fitness Bootcamp: session one

Fitness sessions for women using body weight, equipment, boxing and core strength exercises in a fun, functional circuit. Great for stress relief.

9am-10am at YWCA NSW, 101a Rous Rd, Goonellabah.

Sunday, March 5

Regional High Tea

Officially kicking off the festival, hear Geena Davis live from the Sydney Opera House followed by a panel of local guest speakers.

10am-1pm at the Lismore Workers Club. Tickets cost $30.

Health, wellbeing and business professions expo with information, market stalls, workshops and seminars.

Monday, March 6

Community Reiki Event

10-11am enjoy a 15 minute Reiki Treatment.

12-2pm bring along printed photos or special items connected to any person, animal, the eart or a situation in need of comfort and healing.

Tuesday, March 7

Mechanical Empowerment Workshop for Women

This fun, hands on evening will have you checking oil levels, changing tyres, jump-starting vehicles and checking and correcting tyre pressures.

You'll walk out with more confidence and enjoy less stress when it comes to your motor vehicle.

From 5:30pm for a 6pm start. Concludes at 7:30pm. At Quayside Motors, 2 Bruxner Hwy, South Lismore.

Wednesday, March 8

Kundalini Yoga

Rise and shine with a yoga class aimed at helping women create space and establish boundaries.

6.30am-7.45am at Inner Light Centre, 131 Keen St, Lismore. Entry by donation.

International Women's Day Luncheon

Enjoy lunch and celebrate women and their achievements. Special guests include former QLD premier and current YWCA NSW CEO, Anna Bligh, and Afghanistan black hawk helicopter pilot, Major Sana Fernandez.

11.30am-2pm at the Lismore Workers Club. Tickets cost $60.

Song Circle

Sing from the heart and have fun with the RedInc singing circle. Singing is not about being a star or knowing how to do it well, it's about enjoying the gift of our voices and sharing them with others.

3pm-4.30pm at 87 Magellan St, RED Inc Courtyard. Entry by donation.

Women who Inspire Femme opening night

Come along and see this art exhibition of inspirational women.

The opening night is from 5pm, March 8, but it will be open all day every day from March 5-12.

In All Her Forms opening night

Come along to the Serpentine Arts Gallery for the opening night of In All Her Forms.

Running until March 20, the free-to-enter exhibition features art by local women artists.

10% of all sales will go to the Lismore Women's and Childrens Refuge.

Opening night starts at 6pm.

New and experienced dancers are invited to join the vivacious dance instructor, Sue Whiteman, to explore dance moves in a fun way.

Includes nibbles, drinks and a closed group performance.

2pm-4pm at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium. Cost is $10.
