1. RACES
What: Hot 91 annual Ladies Oaks Day
Where: Corbould Park, Little Mountain

Cost: $25 pp This event is strictly an 18 years and over.
THE Hot 91.1 Ladies Oaks Day is one of the most popular race days on the racing calendar. Yolanda Be Cool and the Sydney Hotshots will be performing on the main stage on the day, and fashions on the field sees a prize pool of $12,000. Courtesy buses are available to and from Corbould Park. A percentage of the gate takings will be donated to STEPS Charity.
2. MALENY SHOW
What: 2016 Maleny Agricultural Show
Where: 13 Maleny-Stanley River Rd, Maleny
When: Today and tomorrow from 8am
Cost: Adult $15, pensioner/student (high school) $10, student (primary) $5, family (two adults and three children under 15 years) $30.
MALENY Show has a fabulous line-up of talent, the best in show, displays and exhibits from artisans and craftsmen, and fun competitions and challenges. The official opening ceremony and first grand parade starts about 2.30pm today. Horse events (including show jumping) in the main arena run all day today and tomorrow, and a special highlight tonight is the talented Mikayla Jade, equine artist and trick/stunt rider. Show favourites Eljay are back again for more motorcycle and bicycle stunt shows in the entertainment arena, as well a Shaundar Herding School, featuring sheep/dog trials and demonstrations.
3. LIVE MUSIC
What: Lamkin Lane Live

IF live music is your thing, then you won't want to miss this. Catch Megan & The Achilles, The Unknowns, Jimmy Watts Band, Joel Anthony live on stage at Paisley Park Project for the next Lamkin Lane Live event tonight. Pop-up bar, food trucks, and artwork by Gary Kerr.

5. SPIN OFF
What: Cycling competition fundraiser for school chaplaincy on the Sunshine Coast
Where: Goodlife Community Centre, 100 Buderim Pines Rd, Buderim
When: Tomorrow, 3-6pm
MORE than 300 competitors will battle it out at Spin Off 2016 to support school chaplains on the Sunshine Coast. Teams will race against each other to raise the most money for school chaplaincy, supporting the region's 100 chaplains. Teams will compete for a share in prize money and the opportunity to walk away with the coveted Spin Off trophy.
6. MUSIC & DANCE
What: Breakthru School Music and Dance Competition

SOME of the Sunshine Coast's most talented young singers, dancers and musicians will put their performance skills to the test to represent their school in Sunshine Plaza's 2016 Breakthru School Music and Dance Competition. Members of the public are invited to watch the performances by participating schools.

8. FAIR
What: St Andrew's Anglican College Family Fair
Where: 40 Peregian Springs Dr, Peregian Springs
When: Tomorrow from 11am
GET ready for an action packed, fun-filled day at the St Andrew's Anglican College Family Fair. There'll be favourite stalls as well as an animal nursery, face painting, lucky jar, lob-a-choc and lots more. Rides will start at 11.30am with something for all ages, including the Flash Dance Ride, dodgem cars, Swinger, Pirate Ship and Human Hamster Balls. Live entertainment on the main stage will include dancing and music, with a fireworks display to top the day off at 5.30pm. Entrance is free and you can enjoy unlimited rides by purchasing a $35 wrist band. Rides can be purchased individually from $3 to $5 per ride.
9. KOALA SPOTTING
Where: Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden, Tanawha
When: Sunday, 9am
KEEN-eyed Sunshine Coast locals are needed to help search for koalas at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden. Not only would volunteer koala spotters get to explore one of the natural jewels in the Sunshine Coast crown, they'll be helping protect these precious little furry Aussies. If you would like to be involved in finding the next few koalas and contribute to fostering a greater understanding of their movements in this region, there's no need to RSVP, just go along to the Arts and Ecology Centre by 9am to be allocated to a search team. Afterwards, participants can stay to enjoy a free sausage sizzle. Be sure to wear covered walking shoes and take drinking water.
10. JAZZ

FEW would know that the writer of a Rod Stewart hit song now resides here on the Sunshine Coast. Internationally recognised songwriter/musician David Bentley has had a remarkable international career, has released several critically acclaimed albums and now brings his jazz and blues to The Jazz Sessions, Nambour. Bentley is a noted jazz/blues pianist, singer and songwriter. His trio is in demand wherever jazz is heard and he is globally recognised as the author of Python Lee Jackson's still-smoking '70s hit, In A Broken Dream.
