The initial name of the company was Golden Grove Supplies Store which after a while became Allingtons Supplies. In 1988 the business was divided into three separate enterprises: Golden Grove Fodder, Allingtons Hardware and Golden Grove Saddlery which were owned by the three children of Eric and Doreen. Over the years Golden Grove Saddlery evolved into a retail country clothing store with less emphasis on saddlery which in fact was the reason for its renaming – Allingtons Country Clothing and Saddlery.

Allingtons have come a long way since then and nowadays is considered as one of the leading stores for western clothing and accessories.
